TOPIC: Ethics & Fundraising
Guest Coach: Kathy Bella, CFRE, Brakeley Briscoe Inc.

In the era of "alternative facts," how do we represent authentic ethical standards as fundraisers? Kathy Bella will share some wisdom from the field on this increasingly complex topic as well as share the resources AFP International offers. Warning: there is no easy or "one size fits all" answer on this topic -- but bring your most challenging ethics questions and get on-the-spot help from Kathy and your peers!

Kathy is a 30+ years professional in the nonprofit sector, with deep experience in strategic planning, fund development, governance and executive search. She has worked with scores of organizations, with coaching being a key tool to help clients and colleagues in areas ranging from planning and working with boards to building major gifts programs and professional development. Kathy co-wrote an article entitled "Coach!" with Pam Cook that was published in the AFP International Journal, Advancing Philanthropy, that discusses the process and benefits of professional coaching. Kathy is a consultant with Brakeley Briscoe Inc.

Plus: AFP Golden Gate Executive Director Elizabeth Seja Min will present another tool, as she did in the July Clinic, from her work with C-IQ: Conversational Intelligence.
